Facial treatments with botox

What is Botox?

Botulinum toxin is one of the most potent natural toxins known that, however, thanks to its property of temporary muscle relaxation, is used to make aesthetic modifications or solve medical problems. The application of Botox blocks certain chemical signals from the nerves, mainly the signals that cause the muscles to contract and cause wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes.

In all cases, the application of Botox is through injections at different depths and in very variable doses according to the need of the patient.

Why do we love it?

The effect of Botox on the muscles gives the skin a renewed, smooth appearance that looks natural.
This treatment approved by the FDA and EMA has been used medically since the 70s and is completely safe.
It is usually highly effective and you can lead a normal life after the treatment.

Botox is used to treat different aesthetic and medical aspects. Depending on the type of condition to be treated, the application of Botox will vary.

Services

Facial Botox

Thanks to the application of facial Botox, we can prevent or reduce wrinkles in areas where we gesture a lot. With the application of Botox on the face, at Bloome we seek to reduce some muscle movements of the face, but not the total suppression of them to achieve natural results. The areas that benefit the most from anti-wrinkle Botox treatments are located in the upper third of the face: eyes, forehead, and periocular area.

Baby Botox

The baby Botox treatment is a facial treatment with lower doses of botulinum toxin for those who wish to prevent lines and wrinkles before they appear. With it, we manage to relax the muscles to try to solve this problem, with the possibility of doing so effectively. After 15 days of having the baby treatment, the final results can be seen.

Areas that can be treated with Botox

1. Forehead

The application of Botox on the forehead prevents and corrects the typical horizontal wrinkles of people who tend to raise their eyebrows a lot while expressing themselves.

2. Crow's Feet

The crow's feet area is prone to wrinkles that become pronounced every time we smile or gesture. Botox in the crow's feet can eliminate those wrinkles or, if the skin is very damaged, significantly minimize them, taking years off the appearance.

3. Glabella

Botox reduces the unconscious frowning gesture, thus combating the vertical wrinkles that appear in the space between the eyebrows and a few centimeters above.

HOW DOES THE PRICE WORK?

The price of each Botox session depends on the brand of product used, but primarily on the number of vials required per session. Additionally, when purchasing the facial treatment, please note that at Bloome, one area is defined as treating the: upper forehead, lower forehead/between the eyebrows, or the corners of the eyes.

DO I NEED BOTOX IF I DON'T HAVE WRINKLES?

Yes, you can prevent wrinkles from appearing in particularly problematic areas, such as between the eyebrows and around the eyes, with Baby Botox treatment. It is especially recommended for people with dry skin, who are most affected by the cumulative effects of normal facial expressions.

CAN I WEAR MAKEUP BEFORE GETTING BOTOX INJECTIONS IN MY FACE?

To properly assess the treatment area, your skin must be clean. We ask that you arrive for your appointment without makeup so that the treatment can be performed correctly.

After Botox treatment on the face, some red spots or, in isolated cases, small bruises may appear.

If this happens, you can apply makeup after the session to camouflage these changes in skin tone, although ideally, the treated skin should be left without makeup for at least 24 hours, while the botulinum toxin settles.

WHAT CAN'T YOU DO BEFORE A BOTOX SESSION?

It is not recommended to get Botox shortly after receiving a vaccine because it will stimulate the immune system and, in some patients, could increase inflammatory reactions to the treatment.

You should also inform our medical team about any medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements, and refrain from drinking alcohol for a few days before your appointment.

WHAT CAN'T YOU DO AFTER BOTOX?

In the days following a Botox session, you need to avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, very hot showers, and significant alcohol consumption. Depending on the patient and the specific treatment received, it's advisable to remain upright for about four hours. You should also avoid facial treatments for two weeks.

CAN I RESUME NORMAL LIFE AFTER BOTOX TREATMENT?

Of course, avoid strenuous exercise and saunas for at least two days after the botulinum toxin injection.

If you've had Botox in your forehead, avoid wearing hats or tight hairstyles for one or two days as well. Naturally, you also shouldn't have massages in the treated area for a few days to prevent the botulinum toxin from migrating from where the doctor injected it.

If you have bags under your eyes and have had Botox in the crow's feet area, wait a few days before applying your cosmetics and have a lymphatic drainage massage.

HOW LONG DOES THE EFFECT OF BOTOX LAST?

The effects of Botox for correcting wrinkles last between 4 and 6 months, depending on the patient, their metabolism, the dose used, and the problem being treated.

DOES THAT MEAN I NEED TREATMENT EVERY 4 MONTHS?

Not necessarily. If you use Botox to correct wrinkles caused by facial expressions, there's a window of time between when the botulinum toxin stops working, which is a gradual process, and when your skin starts to show signs of aging and those expression lines we don't like. But if you'd like to come back in four months, we'd love to see you again!

HOW LONG DOES BOTOX STAY IN MY BODY?

Your body metabolizes the botulinum toxin for 3-4 months and eliminates it from your system as muscle movement gradually returns.

HOW DOES BOTOX WORK?

The mechanism of action of botulinum toxin involves blocking receptors at the muscle level to prevent the active contraction of one or more muscles. To achieve visible results that don't interfere with your normal facial expression, our doctors carefully select which muscles to inject, respecting the movement of others.

DOES BOTOX INJECTION HURT?

Depending on the patient and the area, the injection of botulinum toxin can be uncomfortable or painful, although we always offer the option of using local or topical anesthetics, as needed.

WHAT SIDE EFFECTS CAN BOTOX HAVE?

If applied correctly and following the instructions for the following days, no side effects usually appear. However, you might experience headaches, minor redness, or slight bruising as a result of the injections, not from the medication itself.

CAN I HAVE BOTOX TREATMENTS IF I'M PREGNANT?

As with many medications, there is insufficient data to ensure the safety of using Botox during pregnancy, so it is recommended to avoid its use for cosmetic purposes and that a doctor assess the risk-benefit ratio when using botulinum toxin for clinical purposes.
